How to import contacts into Fello
Importing your contacts will allow you to enroll contacts in marketing campaigns, access property information, enrich records, view lead score, and more.

00:05: In this video, you will learn how to import contacts using the Import and
00:09: Export settings, effectively.
00:13: Starting from the home page, click on the profile icon located in the top
00:17: right hand corner.
00:20: Once you click on the profile icon, a drop-down menu will appear click on
00:24: settings.
00:26: Once the settings page opens, click on the Import and Export tab located
00:31: at the bottom. Left hand side.
00:34: Now that you're on the Import and Export page, click on import located
00:39: in the top right-hand corner.
00:42: Once to import contacts Windows opened, click on download sample,
00:47: file.
00:48: Add your contact details here by copy and pasting or manually
00:52: typing the details. Don't forget to say the document when you're finished.
00:57: Now, you can drag or drop the saved file or click
01:01: browse to find a save file on your computer.
01:06: Once you've uploaded your CSV file, click next located
01:10: at the top right corner,
01:13: Once you've uploaded your file, you can edit the fellow field mapping to match
01:17: the fields from your imported file, click the drop-down arrow in the fellow
01:22: field, mapping column to edit,
01:26: Starting with the first row labeled. As first name navigate to
01:30: the fellow field mapping column and click the drop-down Arrow.
01:34: Now, select first name to match the fields within fellow
01:38: to your imported file
01:41: Continue down the fellow field mapping column to match any necessary
01:45: attributes.
01:48: Once you've finished mapping your preferred attributes locate the acceptable,
01:52: use policy checkbox at the bottom left corner.
01:54: You'll need to check the box to accept the terms.
01:57: You may read the policy by clicking on the acceptable use policy link.
02:03: Once you've agreed to the policy, click on import located in the top right
02:07: corner.
02:09: The system will begin importing your contacts, you'll be notified.
02:13: Once the import is complete, you can also click view status to view
02:17: the progress.
02:19: Once you click on view status, you'll see the file, the process, status,
02:23: and the date and time. The file is uploaded.
02:27: Once the file upload is complete, you'll receive an email notifying you
02:31: of the completion.
02:34: Once the file has been uploaded, you can see how many records were imported in
02:38: the status column of the Import and Export page.
02:43: You can download the file by, hovering your mouse to the right of the file name
02:47: and clicking on the download icon.
02:51: We recommend downloading your file so you can visually check for any errors.
02:55: If any are located edit the error and re-upload the
02:59: file,

You can import contacts in bulk by uploading their details into Fello in a CSV file. Here's how:
- Go to the Contacts module from the left sidebar.
- Click Add Contacts in the top-right corner and select Import Contacts.

- Download your contact database into a CSV file. For reference on formatting, please see our Sample CSV. Please keep in mind:

- Either an email address or a physical address is required to add contacts in Fello.
- If you do not want contacts assigned to specific users, you can leave the User Email Address field blank, and they will be uploaded as unassigned.
- Drag and drop your CSV file, or choose Click to Browse to upload your file from your computer.

- Click Next in the top-right corner.
- Map the column headers in your uploaded file to the fields in Fello.

- Choose a matching Fello field under the Fello Field Mapping column. If there are any unmatched or unnecessary fields, choose Ignore This Column.

- Click Import after mapping all the required fields.
Once the import is complete, you will receive a notification in Fello along with an email stating that the import is complete. You can click Download Report in the notification to review details of the imported contacts.
🗒️ Note: You can check the status of your import, along with details of previous imports at any time by going to Settings > Import & Export > Import. You can also download import files from here.
Once you've initiated an import, you will not be able to delete a record of the import from this page. This page will only contain details of your own imports, and cannot be accessed by other users, unless they are emulating your account.
