The "AVM Disclaimer" option is designed to enhance transparency and build trust with homeowners. This guide will walk you through how to effectively use this feature within the Fello platform to communicate the nuances of Automated Valuation Models (AVMs) to your contacts.

What is an AVM?

AVM stands for Automated Valuation Model, which utilizes various AI algorithms to assess multiple property and market factors, offering swift property valuations by processing extensive data. However, the reliance on algorithmic calculations and publicly available data means that unique characteristics of a property or specific market subtleties might not be fully accounted for, occasionally resulting in valuation discrepancies.

Feature Overview

The "AVM Disclaimer Alert" allows users to:

  • Available on dashboard modules that display AVM values, such as the Multi-AVM and Your Home Value Estimate. 
  • Toggle an alert message on and off within the consumer dashboard where the AVM Home Value Estimate is displayed.
  • Customize the content of this alert to better inform homeowners about the limitations of AVM estimates.
  • Encourage homeowners to contact their agent for a more detailed and accurate property valuation.

To configure the AVM disclaimer alert: 

  • Go to Marketing > Contact Dashboard. 
  • Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to a dashboard.
  • Select a module which shows AVM values, such as Your Home Estimate or Multi-AVM module. 
  • Scroll to find the "Show AVM Disclaimer" option. 

  • Use the toggle to show or hide the disclaimer. 
  • Customize the disclaimer by writing your own, our use Write with AI to find a version that you like. 
  • Click Save
